| Vision The 3 B’s mission statement of the Vietnamese Community Church (Hoi Thanh Cong Dong Viet Nam) is “Bring people in, Build people up, Branch people out”. Our vision is to reach out, express Christ’s compassion, and spread the Gospel to the unchurched community, beginning with the Vietnamese in the Bay Area. Those who accept Christ will be trained by the church to become disciples of Christ. All the disciples of Christ will then be further equipped to go out to the community to fulfill the Great Commission. Our 3 B’s goals are to (1) build a bridge to the community with programs, services and outreach events to plant the seeds of the Gospel in the community, (2) build a strong spiritual leader team to lead the church, and (3) build a process of spiritual growth & balance life for church members meeting five purposes: Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry, Evangelism, and Worship. These five purposes come from the Great Commandments - Love God (worship), Love Neighbor (ministry), and Great Commission- go and make disciples (evangelism), baptize them (fellowship), and teach them to obey (discipleship). Meeting these goals requires the deep love for Christ and for the community from God’s servants to follow Paul’s principle of evangelism: " I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. " (I Corinthians 9:22). |
